Yes - it was fun.

I experienced "The Sexy" for the first time. Flashman could learn a thing or two from that smooth operator otherwise known as Iron Eagle. I was almost convinced Iron Eagle had paid the dues and reacquired his breeder card.

The Houston concert rocked again. The various games were enjoyable, and the honor of Queenzone was generally upheld. The Queenzone dominated table won the scavenger hunt, Brandon won the "ABC" contest, and I placed 2nd in the trivia and mime (as John Deacon) contests.

Those that chose to skip the convention missed a six degrees of sparation / once in a lifetime treat. A man, who was attending a wedding in the same hotel, was an older classmate of Freddie. He reminisced about old times and he "painted" a vivid picture of what life was like at St Peter's in India, and he answered many of our questions. Fascinating man - he spent over half an hour speaking in front of us - plus he spoke to many of us individually.

Ooh, Cool! Are you going to hop on stage, pummel Geddy and take over as lead vocalist for Rush?!!?!?

You have obviously never heard me sing!!! I am worse than Morrissey.

I just noticed Rush has an album of cover versions out or coming soon. Exciting stuff.

Edit: actually it's an EP due June 29:

'The Seeker' might be interesting. I've loved The Who's original ever since seeing American beauty.

I've got that one preordered. BTW, Geddy Lee is on the cover of Bass Player magazine this month -- good article! (I saw Rush in May and they still continue to amaze me after thirty years of rocking. They're not getting older, they're getting better -- and in Alex's case, a little more padded! LOL)
