That's pretty good. But I think the vocals have just a bit too much reverb or whatever that effect is. Or maybe it wasn't such a good mic. I don't know. But it's a minor point. I like it.

Excellent guitar,
Horrible singing...
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

Well, the guitar was good. The singing was spot on--sometimes. Other times, the accent was really strong or it seemed like the vocals were lagging behind the guitar. A good take, though, I guess.

Guitar was again, great. Singing was on and off. I heard the lagging too. But what was with the vocal harmonies?? Eeeeek...

Peace,
Adam.

"I believe this is a retake of the previous version of Misfire by Niek, but with vocals from someone who heard the previous instrumental version."

It's not a re-take, it's the same version

I quite like it :) I don't think the vocal is nearly as bad as some we've heard.

I like this. The vocals are better than some others I've heard on here.

I only expect Queen to sound like Queen, some people make good efforts, some make a good living out of impersonating Queen, and some people just make themselves look and sound silly.
Back to the present effort, well i've heard worse, but it's not good, nice guitar work, but again it's the vocals that let the song down, pity that.
There must be more to life than this.

the voice is not so bad, sometimes volume is low, bu it's a technical problem that in mountain studios Styckells would fix :D

Only one question for Richard:did you EVER received my mp3 file? i sent it 2 months ago to the contact us address.....let me know if you have it and wheter you will post it someday or not........ :) thanks
Anything too stupid to be said... is sung.

Very good, all in all.

Are you sure you didn't re-do some of the guitars Niek? They sound much more accurate than how I remembered your original version.

And I thought that overall the vocals were fine. As somebody said, at times they sounded very Freddie.

The curious thing though is the 'lag' in the vocals, and the one or two bits of random harmony that don't work.

The vocalist is obviously competent, and sang the whole song with solid intonation and pitch, but fucked up on those harmony parts and was happy to leave them sounding that way.

Odd.

Yep, I'm pretty sure I didn't re-record any guitar parts.
