Since I'm on a waiting list with 81 people ahead of me at the library, I figured I'd look for the audio version online.. abridged but still looks to be like 6 hours.

I don't use file sharing stuff anymore so I found it at alt.binaries.mp3.audiobooks. Anyone else use newsgroups for their illegal downloads?

I find that you run into fewer glitches.. people seem to check stuff before posting, for the most part. And they generally insist on high quality. This one is an exception.. mono and 40 kbps because it's so long.

Anyway, politics aside, I liked Clinton. He was fun and I like to hear him talk. I might even end up buying this. :)

Ditto, but unfortunately the guy can NOT write. Apart from the first part, about his youth, this must be one of the most boring, badly written and at times even selfindulgent bio's ever!

But hey that's just another writer's point of view... ;-)

saw him on Larry King yesterday

Am I the only one who thinks Bill looks a bit like Brian these days?

Without the hair ofcourse. But the way he moves his face when he's talking and so on.

Next time you see Bill on tv, Imagine he is talking about some stupid Musical which opens all around the world, and that he has long hair

Hmmm... the nose maybe ;-))

Might be intersting to see Bill doing a musical and Brian smoking cigars in the White House with Jacky Gun under his desk!

I'd have to agree. The resemblance is amazing.

Would be interesting to read it. I find him highly charismatic and a great speaker, you know come to think of it, If I'd been a whitehouse intern and a woman... erhm, nevermind :P

Any friend of Dorothy should be a fan of Bill.

Anyway, I got the first CD made this morning and started listening, but he literally put me right to sleep. LOL

It was pleasant to listen to though :)

He actually speaks about gay issues in the book... says we only focused on the compromise he made in regards to the military and everyone forgets that he also made it possible for people in sensitive jobs like FBI, CIA to be openly gay, as well as the fact that he had tons of gays and lesbians in his cabinet.. but who doesn't?

:)

I'm four/sixth of the way through, couple hours to go and enjoying it a great deal I must say.

Unlike that fat sort Monica Lewinsky, I find Bill Clinton a little hard to swallow.
FLASHMAN STRIKES AGAIN! Paul Rodgers is not the best thing since fried Fred.

It put me to sleep twice, but I finished it. I see what people mean about it being dull at times, but I found much of it interesting.

Anyway, it was free and I'm glad I satisfied my curiosity. Plus it gave me something to edit. Came as 6 hour long files and I chopped it into chapters and edited out some long pauses. Fit it on 5 discs with room to spare on the last :-P
