My advice is: If someone here SHOULD happen to have a good quality tape or film of the SSOR performance, and IS reading this post: My advice for transferring the video to harddisk and then to recordable media like DVD or Blu Ray (the latter which has yet to be released - see http://www.bluray.com for details), my advice would be to make an MPEG-2 file with the dimensions of 720x480, video encoded at 9.8Mbps for maximum DVD-standard quality. But also with Blu Ray coming out, there is a maximum bitrate of 36Mbps, although I am not sure how that works.

My best bet would be to use high definition video formats to transfer the video at.

Hilarious. Could you have missed the point any more spectacularly?

Maybe they've had a change of heart and want to redo the GVH discs properly, so they'd like to include some additional extras. Just a thought.

It's for the GVH3 bonus disc or for the Platinum DVD Collection bonus disc. It's not THAT hard to figure out!
Not those are losers who fall, but those who don't stand up.

Whisperer is right. It is for GVH3, Wilki. Brian and/or Greg said that way back before this appeal. They found a low quality copy, but have seen better. Hence the appeal.

Inu, like I've said, I have doubts that anyone here has better equipment to transfer with. And also making a dvd-video is not a good idea. What if (more than likely) they have to process the video? More loss of picture quality. If you gave them dvd-video, it WILL be recompressed twice more, at least. And that will be horrible quality.

And what if that person with the video captures it in the wrong way? I think it's better in the long-run to leave it to the folk who will deal with those things.

Peace,
Adam.
