...and it annoys the CRAP out of me! Now it's this really ugly burnt orange color and it's all wirey and stiff. It used to be a really nice brown, and it was really soft and silky. IT'S SO FREAKING UGLY NOW! Ok, this was really random. And has no importance to anyone here.

I bought some peroxide last night because it was on sale and I sometimes gargle with it.
Can the same 3% peroxide solution be used for bleachitorial purposes?

I was being serious, except for making up the word bleachitorial :-P
You're supposed to dilute it with an equal part of water for gargling, but it is common. I was just wondering if bleaching uses the same solution or if it's stronger. Because I'm bored and frequently shave my hair down to 1/4 inch anyway, so I thought I might try bleaching it first.

I don't let any substance touch my hair except shampoo or conditioner. No dye!
Oh dear! Too much peroxide can really ruin your hair and cause damage (but only if you keep doing it). My mom is a hairdresser and when she dies my hair she only uses a little of it and then the color.
I know it ruins your hair! That's what I keep telling my friend!
I'm gonna try it tonight so I'll let you guys know what happens. I'll leave it on for an hour.
Okay, I got the hair soaked in peroxide and a bag over my head. I'll let ya'll know what happens when I rinse in an hour. Quite exciting I must say!
After 20 minutes it started to burn so I shampooed it off. Doesn't seem to have done anything color-wise. Oh well. Maybe next time.
Anyone know what this laundry bleach will do?
