I saw that! I don't think it's him... because honestly, anybody from England can write that!
Except it's on the news page, which means they've probably checked it's real, by looking at the IP and so on.
However, do you think John would come right out and say he's collecting checks for doing nothing? I mean, of course he is but the message seemed kind of impersonal and rude. Maybe it's just me.
That sounds exactly like something the calculating Deacy would do, at the end of a month...with nothing better to do than pray for lap dances in Las Vegas -- and free ones at that...

Recently Brian May and Roger Taylor were interviewed by Rockline, North America's number one rock radio programme, and there was such question (the interview itself you can find in http://www.brianmay.com/queen/queennews/queennews.html - June news):
MARK: Two quick questions for ya. One is - How's John? and number two - Did William Hung get permission to record "We Are The Champions"?
Roger Taylor: John really is effectively retired. He's... I dunno - he likes to stay home and he approves of everything we're doing and we're all in agreement about that, but he really doesn't wanna go out and sort of meet people any more, so, and that's fine. We have a good agreement there, so HE JUST STAYS AT HOME AND WAITS FOR THE CHEQUE."
So, maybe Jonh really have read it and decided to leave his funny note on guestbook.

C'mon! This is a very simple free guestbook on some free server, everybody can write a message with this name... IP check? First of all I very much doubt this guestbook logs IP's and also I pretty much doubt anybody knows John's IP address (Brian could know it from emails - if it's fixed - but I don't think he knows what IP address is).
