RMF, you're RIGHT! :-)
I loved the early, posed photos (especially the black and white shots). They were so...well, classy! Freddie ALWAYS looked like he was posing, even if someone caught him off-guard. Even in motion he was posing! Breathing, he was posing!
And especially for the solo albums. Yowsa!!

Innuendo.
Innuendo!!!!
"Innuendo" is my second choice. Then "The Miracle" followed by "A Kind Of Magic".
SHA and Queen II.

MIRACLE

Very striking, and the packaging was innovative -- the clear Mylar sleeve with Brian, Roger and John and the album itself -- that great picture of Freddie.
The CD version does not do the artwork justice!!
(Note: it's best to store this one in a plastic outer sleeve. If the images of the three guys rub on another album, they tend to wear off -- a friend of mine found that out the hard way!)
Queen 2!
and then queen 1
and then queen 1

Well, since I've never actually seen a copy of Innuendo on vinyl, I won't name it, even though it's my fave artwork & my fave CD.
I really like GH3, too, with the translucent plastic sleeve & all... really slick.
I think A Night At The Opera was really wonderfully put together - the lyrics & all - and I've spent a lot of time studying Freddie's crest & the coloring. I love the pink-fading-into-blue in the fairy wings... gorgeous, and not an easy task (to avoid purple between them) in the age of pre-computer-aided graphics.
But apart from those, I really must say I always loved Queen I - both the US and UK packages, but moreso the dark purple (and "smaller") UK one. Love the collage of photos on the back, too... I've spent hours pondering them! Brian's duck/penguin (depending on your opinion) beak... Freddie's grapes... For a long time, (back in da day) it was as close to seeing them "live" that I could get, other than the all-too-occasionally broadcasted video (again, in quotes, "live"). It fueled my imagination for what they'd be like live, and that was awesome!

Yeah, I was looking at my copy of ANATO and I never noticed that the crest was embossed on that album, so Im gonna go for that as 2nd behind MIH, The reason I like MIH so much is the fantastic pic on the inside of the gatefold.
My faorite one would be The Game because Freddie looks so friggin sexy in that one!!!!!!
news of the world...and the works.
Queen II and Innuendo. I have a poster of the Queen II album cover on my wall, and it's always the first thing people notice when they come in.
