Did Freddie have a nose job?

It kinda looks like his nose got a lot thinner. Maybe it's my imagination- but his nose later on looks very different then his nose in the beginning. Not nearly as dramatic as Michael Jackson's nose though. That's just sick.

Maybe Wacko Jacko gave him some tips on plastic surgery, him being the advocate of it at all

No, no and no!!! Look at pictures of Freddie (head-on shot, not in profile) from, say, the Queen II cover to Freddie in the Slightly Mad video. Same nose, one nostril slightly bigger than the other one. And even when he was at his thinnest, it never looked glaring like some people's get when they lose a lot of weight (Carnie Wilson's a great example)
