DVD rewriter - advice please!

hi I'm on the look out for a decent DVD writer - any suggestions please?

and is DVD X - the best software around?

Go with a Sony DRU-530A burner if there is one in your area. It burns both +R/RW and -R/RW DVD discs, and can also burn CD-R's.

Apparently there's an NEC one that burns dual layer discs, and sells for £65 over here.

Are those dual-layer writable discs really out??

Hmm. Turns out there IS a Sony DRU-700A DVD+R/RW dual layer burner, upon further research.

Interesting, but I'd probably rather wait until Blu Ray comes out.
