1. Please make sure you can pronounce all of the lyrics to the song WITHOUT a damn accent.

MadGuy, you'll really impress if you turn a non-ballad into a ballad. Don't just recreate something with your own voice and instrumental talents. The best cover song will always the one with minimal resemblance to the original.
