While we are waiting for the Milton Keynes DVD.....

Lets build up our expectations. What exactly do you look most forward to see on this DVD?

For me it must be to compare the picture and sound quality to the Wembley how. Will it be better, worse or maybe the same?

And of course the concert itself, but that is obvious. I dont know anything about the extras that might be on it. Maybe the interview before the concert?

I hope there won't be any DoRo document on it...

It will just be nice to see the whole gig rather than the Tyne Tees edit.

Since a lot of us already have the gig (most not in it's entirety though) and the interviews, I'm looking formward most to the extra's. Also, after the teaser on GVHII we can all be assured that both image and sound are simply stunning! No idea what is possible to expect of extra's but I have some things that would be nice if Queen Prods have them, that is...

-Soundcheck (I seem to remember parts have been filmed to try out the camera's and sound etc for the actual recording, as with the first wembley gig)
-Parts or snippets from other Hot Space shows (we KNOW there are several (parts of) gigs filmed! This is the ideal package to put that stuff on. If they don't I'm sure any chance of an official release of that stuff is absolutely out of the question. Besides: no need for them to bother about the possible bad quality of the tape, as with the wembley rehearsals
-the interviews and backstage-footage in full (or at least more of it then when we already have seen)
-Hmmm, some multi-angles again if possible??

But please QP, do surprise us with stuff we don't even dream of yet, as with Wembley!

Yeah- that would be great! They could put all those tracks from that era which otherwise wouldn't be released, like "Body Language" or "Calling all Girls"...

Most of all the whole concert in good quality and surroud sound. Anything else are welcome extras but the concert is the part I'll be watching over again.

Btw, Jeroen: I hear you'll be in Benidorm to see the 46664 Latino concert. I hope we'll meet for a Diet Coke for me/beer for you.

I really wish that if they put multi-angle stuff they do it with other songs than Under Pressure, Now I`m Here and Champions. Staying Power would be great with a John camera, just following his guitar playing.

Hey YV... Well, I didn't say I WILL be there. I did say I am planning on going there. But every day the date comes closer there are more bumps in the road it seems... Right now I am having serious trouble at work over it. I'm scheduled to do the weekendshift that weekend (I get that every six or seven weeks. Hey SOMEBODY has to write monday's newspaper ;-) I need to find someone to switch weekends with, but problem is that no-one likes to do these shifts (can't blame them). Normally there will always be a collegue to be found to trade with, but it is very difficult now that most of them are on holiday! :-(
Anyway... I still have hopes but I'm not betting any money on it anymore. DAMNED!!!

I agree with all of the above - especially YV's views - all I can do is re-emphisise her desire for the FULL unedited concert footage.

Contrary to popular belief, (Outside TTTV), I do not think a complete video version exists, but, Like many fans, I have the uncut audio bootleg, so the release of a proper DVD soundtrack, should mean that Queen can yet again deliver a quick kick in the yarbals to those who peddle such merchandise on e-bay.

Any other extras or easter eggs would be a bonus.

BTW: Original TV adverts memory appeal!
I seem to recall that when the show was originally broadcast on C4 (UK) as a "Tube" Special, TV inserts (commercials/promo spots) were brodcast between programmes (about a week before the broadcast) to advertise the show. I seem to recall one featuring Jools Holland and the late Paula Yates, and another with Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie.

Surely it will be great to see footage of Back Chat. Also, there is the bit of Las Palabras, and Brian's cord falling out during his Brighton Rock solo. If either of these two latter things are cut, then it's not the complete show as promised.

Being that I'm not a Milton Keynes expert (yet), when in the concert did they play Las Palabras? I thought that was one of the Queen songs that was never performed live (and the Freddie Tribute doesn't really count).

If I'm remembering right, Las Palabras De Amor was just played as the intro to Love Of My Life.

Also I think the intro of the show is AMAZING. The build up with Flash Gordon.Then Brian runs onto stage playing the chords of The Hero. Wonderful! Cant wait to have that in great picture and sound.
