Makes me pig sick that every year or so now another country torn by war is leaving widows and children starving in camps. You dhave thought after Live Aid we might have learned something.

If you had a political power, what would you change to make improvements?

Id be putting more money from the iraq war fund into sudanise camps for starters!

no one political here? shall we go newbie bashing instead? ah ok then...

Enough with the complaints about Newbie Bashing. It's gotten as old as the actual bashing. There are some people on the board who are adults and do not need to be constantly lectured about this issue.

"no one political here?"

If you'd read some other threads that do not involve newbies, you'd see that is clearly not the case. If you want a political discussion, then your question should be more specific. Asking what someone would do if they had poltical power is too broad and avoids the real issue of what's happening in Sudan.

Ouch. I love how everyone else on here is aloud to make jokes without getting into trouble. I dont really care about the issue anymore to be honest- it isnt my responsability.
And i apologise that my thread wasnt indepth enough for you.
All i wanted to see was some wide ranging views on the sudan situation. I personally cant believe we let this happen every year in different countries.

Sure pluto. there is a great civil war going on at the moment and for a while. lots of people, mostly women and children, have fleed to neighbouring countries, 'chad' rings a bell, but i dont know where it is. of course with their being so many, theres no water or sanitation, not to mention food. we are seeing ethiopia again, but this time theres no live aid to help.

Chad is to the east of Sudan and shares a border with the Dafur region, which is most affected by the killings and refugee crisis.

A search on any decent news website should give you any information ie www.bbc.co.uk

We don't get involved, we get called "insensitive". We get involved, people hate us and tell us not to "police" the world. It's a no-win battle. I personally don't see HOW you can solve something like this without stepping in and taking control...and then we get ridiculed for that too.

Can we have another Live Aid. These people need our help
Oh Let me live Take another piece

That'll be cool...financial help usually helps SOMEWHAT...but...what bands to sign??? Hmmm...

Step 1 - Resurrect Freddie

Step 2 - Lock him with the others in a rooom until they agree to perform and sign them.

Step 3 - Get the Stones back on tour and sign them too.

Live Aid 2004...sounds good to me ;-)

1) call bob back in. whats he going these days?
2) busted- i hate them but theyd love the publicity.
3) throw in some one hit wonders, a charity single, 'do they know its erm michaelmas' or something
4) brian and roger will be there, with beyonce maybe hmmmmm
5) theres cholera, measles, all sorts. im sure there must be some people with aids there, because civil wars tend to lead to involve things like we saw in rawanda.... :(
