I've discovered that if I find a song really catchy after the first time I hear it, it gets annoying and it's a bad song. However, most of the times when I don't particularly like a song very much, I end up really liking it after I listen to it a few more times. This was the case for Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to Love, Don't Stop Me Now, White Rabbit (by Jefferson Airplane), Radio Ga-Ga, Let Me Live, etc...
I feel the same way. When I first heard Bo Rhap I was really young, so I didn't appreciate it for the complexity of it, I just liked the way it sounded. I used to not like AOBTD, because I thought it was too disco-ey...but I gave it another try and now love it. There are a bunch of others like that, too. I'd dislike it or not like it much, but then relisten and fall in love with it.
Then there're times when I love the song, but don't feel like hearing it. A perfect example is STL. Sometimes I get sick of the constant "find me...somebody toooooooooo love...find me..." because I think it's repetative.
BTW...White Rabbit is an awesome song too! So haunting and mysterious, but so cool too!
