According to Greg Brooks (queenonline, recent Q&A) Let Me Live, version featuring Rod Stewart was recorded during Hot Space sessions... Up until now I thought it was 1983, so Works sessions, but...
What do you think...?

Where is it from...? Both STL and Let Me Live are gospel-influenced tracks, but... were they really started at pretty much the same time...? Does any hand-written lyrics from '76 exist...? Or just rumours...?

I don`t think LML is from 1976, but I don`t have anything to confirm or deny it. What if it`s from 1966?

Anyway... Greg himself said he answers from the top off his head. Moreover he didn`t know Brian sang the first part of Who Wants To Live forever, so possibly he could have confused `82 with `83 or believed Hot Space was from `83... many possibilities

As Sebastian said, we can't prove it really is from 1976.

Actually it started in 1967 when Aretha Franklin's sister, Erma Franklin recorded the first version of 'Piece of My Heart'
