What's the use of making a duet with this lame impersonators band? I definitely won't buy this! Enough is enough! I refused to buy the Zucchero duets album and I won't let this crap enter my collection. I'm becoming a responsible collector, I'm afraid

Where did you read this ? I can't find it on QOL or BM.com ?

EDIT: Ah, at Queenzone.com - I never check the frontpage.... Anyway, should be interesting. I'd rather have him working with The Darkness then working on a new adaption of the musical for the poor people in Zimbabwe.
I saw The Darkness live in Turin last month and they were great. Justin is a good singer and also a good guitarist, I'd say even better than his brother Dan.
In Turin the Darkness drummer started to play a tempo which was similar to We Will Rock You. So we started to sing We Will Rock You. We were in the second row, and all the audience followed us singing We Will Rock You. The drummer kept the time and started to play the drum part of We Will Rock You, then Justin smiled and started to play an instrumental version of We Will Rock You on his guitar, in a key which was different from the original key of Queen because he had to follow us! It was great!

Of course I keep preferring Queen far more, but they are talented. Givin Up has a great melody and an excellent solo!
I'm looking forward to listen to this collaboration between Brian and the fours.
I heard someone on the radio this weekend describe The Darkness as the greatest rock band in the world!

WTF???
Yes, it's me. I'm back. I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on a disk somewhere
LMAO! That's jus as big a joke as the band itsself!
Seems like a very appropriate collaboration if you ask me.
this will make Justin feel like Mercury for a day...pathetic

Well, it's not as bad as WWRY + 5ive, or WWRY + Britney Spears, Pink and Beyonce.
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.
damn

the darkness is the most stupid not serieus band i know i get sick of everybody comparing it with queen, i see queen as a serious band (with talent)
and brian shouldn't do this leave a great song alone
I like the darkness very much, at first i had some doubts about their skills. But I saw them live in Amsterdam this year and it was great, really great. Justin is very talented, but to be honest compered with Freddie Mercury he's nothing, so i don't think it will do the song any good, but i just want Queen in the charts again, that's all!

I also like some of their b-sides.
While the song is questionable. It's cool. I like the fact that it's split Queen fans because that's exactly what Queen did! You either love or hate them.

Peace,
Adam.
I am a seasoned Queenie and back in their beginning they were dissed just like The Darkness is being dissed especially by the music press, personally I think they are wonderful!

They will be huge despite the hatred just give them a few years, they are getting their feet wet just like any new band.

Kriz ;o)
Long Live Queen!!!
I think they're great, in fact better than that Queen rubbish.

Why let that baldy Brian May back in the limelight.
Nancy Astor : "If I were your wife I would put poison in your coffee". Winston Churchill : "And if I were your husband I would drink it".
I have to say I like The Darkness. Their music is really funny and enjoyable. I understand that Justin’s vocal could be unacceptable for some of us, but I like it anyway. This collaboration would be interesting in some way. More than B. Spears, Beyonce etc. as somebody told here above.
But now it's time to be gone - forever...
I saw the Darkness in Pittsburgh PA and Justin did this guitar solo, wandering through the crowd on the shoulders of a roadie. The Queen references were there if you knew what to expect. A great rock show, amazing costumes, fog machines, tv screens, the whole nine. The opening band, The Wildhearts, cleaned the wax out my ears they were so loud!

If they want to cover a Queen tune they should go right ahead-- I agree it's got more promise than anything Britney would touch. I'd really like to hear the Darkness do the fast WWRY, it's more their style, "fairy tales of yesterday will grow but never die": August 9 1986
