MIRACLE/INNUENDO- suitable for touring...?

On every single album Queen released there were songs almost obvious to include into the stage show (i.e. TIE YOUR MOTHER DOWN), few that were tried (with different results- some stayed for longer in the set lists, some were played only few times...); and than there were always quite few they have never, ever played.

Just wandering, listening to Miracle and Innuendo, which songs do you think wouldn't be definitely played and why and which on the other hand would be exellent in the live environment- from those two albums, if they toured...

IMO those would be exellent live and pretty easy to adapt into stage act: Was It All Worth It, I Want It All, Headlong, I Can't Live With You, Innuendo, Breakthru, Miracle, The Show Must Go On, Scandal, Ride The Wild Wind; Chinese Torture would be incorporated into guitar solo...

They would never play things like: Delilah, All God's People (difficulty), My Baby Does Me, Rain Must Fall, Don't Try So Hard (difficulty again, vocally)... I have my doubts about The Invisible Man as well...

The other could be considered as possibilities, especially heavier things like Hitman, Party, Khashoggi's Ship, Hang On In There, but also These Are The Days Of Our Lives or I'm Going Slightly Mad...
What do you think...?

I just can't imagine Queen playing Miracle/Innuendo- Songs live beacause they were written when Freddie knew that there will be no more tours and that he will die.
I guess most of the songs especially on Innuendo wouldn't exist without Freddie's illness.
No "Show must go on..." "These are the days of our lives" etc..
But I think "Headlong" is a song that Queen might have written also without Freddie's disease and would have performed live.

This is wouldbe question anyway, so I think we could imagine every song, couldn’t we ?
I Want It All, Headlong, I Can’t Live With You, Ride The Wild Wind could be hottest candidates for me. The Show Must Go On should be there also, but it is very high written for live performance. So I vote for it with Roger help and some vocal line lowering. And I’m Going Slightly Mad would be IMO good live.

Innuendo would be fine, but what with the middle part ? Cut it off or play it the same way as Bohemian Rhapsody operatic part ? It’d certainly be possible to do this middle part live some way, but it’d loose its magic IMO.

I could imagine Hitman and Khashoggi's Ship. These Are Then Days Of Our Lives on spanish guitar could be interesting.

With never played songs I agree with Lord Fender.

I guess all of there singles would be a possibility. Added to that: Kashoggi's ship, Hitman, Party.

I would also have loved to hear Don't stop me now on the "Miraculous Innuendo tour". It's a pity they dropped it. One of my favorite live songs.

I think by that point in their career, Queen would mainly stick to the singles for the live show, primarily since they would have so much territory to cover in a limited time.

Snippets of Chinese Torture in a guitar solo might be possible, but I don't see Was It All Worth It or Ride The Wild Wind being included at all.

I have a feeling that Brian wouldn't let such a great riff being left out of the show- maybe a snippet in some kind of a medley...? I can however agree on ride The Wild Wind not being played...

I meant POSSIBILITY rather than WHAT IF HE DIDN'T DIE- let's say the songs are written and let's analize them considering our knowledge about Queen concerts (what were they like, etc.) and the way they were playing older songs on previous tours; could they adapt i.e. MY BABY DOES ME? Don't think so! Can't imagine them playing it between Hammer To Fall and Tie Your Mother Down... Same goes for ALL GOD'S PEOPLE- they would never recreate the vocal harmonies... Zeni said about them playing mostly singles- good point, I'm sure they would do that. But I have my doubts about THE INVISIBLE MAN for instance- can't really imagine Brian playing this solo live, what would they do with the bass... The song seems too sterile for me to be incorporated into the stage act...

I've always thought Breadthru would be fantastic live. Don't know why Brian or Roger haven't done it in their sets, but then the vocal is probably quite difficult, and even more of a Freddie vocal than others.

I agree with the rest of you on the candidates for live songs. I think the Freddie tribute shows that they could do Innuendo justice as long as there were no hiccups with the mic level/forgotten lyrics!

I Want It All would definitely be an obvious choice, but I think Scandal, The Miracle and Breakthru could work. As for Innuendo, if Freddie had still been healthy and touring, some of the songs wouldn't have been written, as Smartie said. But Innuendo, Headlong, I Can't Live With You, and possibly The Hitman would've gone over well. I think Don't Try So Hard would've been beautiful live; it kind of reminds me of Who Wants To Live Forever.

On second thought- I can't really imagine SCANDAL being played live... i like the song very much, but... doesn't really fit into the live act they were playing over the years... Somehow I think it wouldn't work...

Absolutely. Scandal could be adapted and I think The Miracle would go tremendously. I can just see Freddie finishing off 'Seven Seas of Rhye' and running over to the piano for the beginning of The Miracle.

I remember that Breakthrough was on the list to be played at the Tribute, however for some reason it wasn't played. Would have liked to hear it.

I think Brian played some of Chinese torture during the BR solo at his Barcelona appearance in 1992?

I think The Miracle would definitely have been added, but as part of the medley - kinda like BohRhap. Start it off, sing a couple verses go to KQ, Delilah could fit just to make a
Freddie staccatto chord medley (bring back DoTL?).
End with the "that time will....."
IWiA is a must.
InvMan may have shown up probably sounding a bit like Break Free.
