I wasn't really into music before Queen. I just watched music on MTV (back in those days when there was, in fact, music on MTV). I really kept up to date with the whole music scene, but none of the music ever really did anything for me.
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.

Starland Vocal Band, Air Supply, Pat Boone, Terry Jacks, John "Let Her In" Travolta, and not to be left out, my all time favorite, Peaches and Herb.

All I can remember is Barry Manilow. I had some of those kids storybook records, like Superman in some amazing adventure. Then mom let me have her Manilow Greatest Hits double album and a Perry Como album. I just remember playing Barry Manilow quite a bit.

I became a fan in 1975, and before that I really wasn't a huge fan of any other band, though I did enjoy the odd song here and there from various artists.

I actually wasn't that into music before Queen. I just listened to whatever was popular at the time, until I got annoyed with it all and started to seek out new music. It's amazing how many artists Queen have led me to that I wouldn't have listened to before.
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.

The Beatles... but I still love them. They share a spot with Queen at the top of my list. I did go through a terrible phase in 3rd-4th grade when I liked *NSYNC and was friends with the popular girls. I've tried to block that period in my life out of my memory.

The Monkees, The Beatles, and *NSYNC. And that is it.

Although I always liked Queen since I was a kid, I didn't become a hardcore fan until Freddie died and all the tributes and Queen marathons on the radio made me realize that Queen was indeed the biggest ban ever.

Before then I was a huge fan of Michael Jackson, and Guns N' Roses.

Erm... I struggle to even recall.
I remember I used to dig naff mainstream pop/r&b music. But I was also into stuff like The Kinks at the time.
Then I went through a period of liking no music at all.
Then Queen and stuff.
Then the post-Queen stuff. ie, now. :o)
