If you don't like theater/musical, why post?

For those that don't like the idea and don't think it'll be good:

I was being dragged to this one by the folks and was not looking forward to it. I'd read on HERE that it wasn't good. And of course, I felt the story sounded pretty crummy. Got there, loved it and the rest is history. You really have to give it a chance.
Sure it's not the best story, but just embrace the fun side. The music too, of course! Don't let the driven musical haters pursuade you. Only you can make up your own mind! ;)

Guaranteed to blow your mind......I saw it with the original cast...I was there with a friend who doesn't really like Queen, but she thought the show was fantastic...another soul is won for We Will Rock You hahaha.

I've seen it 4 times and I think it's very entertaining....

No One But You is so DAMN good, no words can describe that feeling. Goose bumps I've never felt in my whole life.... WOW

I saw it twice on video at the convention - and it was ok coz i'd had loads of beer, but seeing it live it is amazing. So it's a corny story who cares it is an excellent night out, a great way to see the Queen catalogue played live. You just have to realise you aren't going to actually see Queen just a story using the music.

I've seen the London show 16 times.It's great.

I completely agree, I actually cried during that bit. It was SO well done!

I saw the musical and I commented on it.

Is there a problem or are only pro-musical comments allowed?

I've seen it in London. And I have to say it really just wasn't my thing. Although it was clearly never intended to be the main attraction of the musical, I neverthless found the plotline frustratingly weak. And some of the singing was... well... I'd just rather stick to my Queen records.
I found it all too... too musical-like ^_^ I'm not a fan of musicals at all. Cheese overload.

I'm not saying I think it was bad, per se, at all. I just don't plan to see it again any time soon.

EDIT: May I add, however, that 'No One But You' was beautifulness. Tears almost started welling up in eyes...

The reason I posted what I did was because if you don't like musicals/theater, what's the point of commenting in this thread about a musical? It kinda defeats the point because we already have a good idea of what you'll say.

And btw, it wasn't directed at anyone in particular, Bullwinkle.

The spanish (Madrid) production is just GREAT!!!
But I think they have a very bad promotion... and bad luck... and very high prices...

The premiere's day, prince Felipe announced his marriage and all the press dedicated a lot of time (even Brian was asked about Felipe the premiere's night!!!) ... later the 11-M tragedy... very sad.

For sure, they'll solve the lack of promotion for the next season. I hope to see the show in my city (Barcelona) but even in Bilbo and Valencia.

Saw it at the Dominion, thought it was a great night out, certainly not highbrow, but pure entertainment, even got a tour backstage and chatted with the costume people.
Keep meaning to go again, maybe when The Great Chancellor Amethyst gets over!!!
