There is this fantabulous site where you can just type in words and see if they are spelled correctly or not. If they are incorrect, they will even give you suggestions as to what you were aiming at. It's called www.dictionary.com. My work is done here.

The human side of all the Christians here on the board get angry when you insult the man that we have chosen to give our lives too and by doing so, we inherit eternal life in heaven... As Christians we have to expect persecution because no servant is greater than their master so if they persecuted him, we are persecuted as well. And as Christians, we do turn the other cheek and accept the persecution, but what we do is pray for you. We pray that you would see the error in what you say, or we pray that someone would be put in your path to change your mind. Even people that say things like this can be overcome by the holy spirit and cleansed. So, do we (Christians) hate you. I speak for myself when I say no, but I pity you because on the day of your judgement, if you have not repented and give your life to him, then you will see the errors of your ways but that is the only thing that I can do in this aspect. Christians historically have not "turned the other cheek" but have in fact systematically slaughtered non-christians. So please save your sermons for another time.

If you all want to debate religion, then DEBATE...don't throw out ad hominem attacks or the 'I pray for you' come backs. They server no purpose to no one.

So, either enter a civil, intelligent debate, or talk about a more important topic.

I pray for you is not a comeback. And religion is an impossible topic to debate because people have set beliefs that arent going to change.

No, most all religious doctrines and teachings are debatable. And it's a fascinating subject. Religion is a very integral part of much of humanity.

People say never debate politics or religion, but I find that human existence revolves around politics and religion. With no debate, nothing will change for the better.

A lot of problems revoloving around religion, IMHO, are caused by a lack of knowlege of said religion. Most people posses very little religious education. What they do posses is usually a subset of doctrines from only one particular sect of one particular religion. Hardly a world view.

Which leads to 'jesus sucks' vs. 'i pray for your soul' back and forths. Tiring after a while.

And then god said 'I have created corn and have put it on a cob for all of humanity to enjoy'. Then Buddha asked why he put all of that annoying hairy stuff on the cob. God didn't have a good answer until Mohammed suggested that it might be a good way to get people to floss. L Ron Hubbard agreed and that was that.
