Nobody's ever really said anything to me, except one of my friends kept insisting that Freddie had a lisp, and another said she hated Queen because WWRY/WATC bugged her.

My best friend digs Stevie Wonder and Big Band music. So I have very little to worry about.

Well, I've had a girl come up to me before, and I was wearing my Queen shirt, and she said "Why do you like Queen? He died. And he never respected his fans because he died. If he really loved his fans, he wouldn't have died. Not like Britney Spears, or Madonna, they stay alive and make their fans happy. So you just better get over it 'cause Queen sucks. Why don't you like a band that wasn't gay? like Good Charlotte?"
And I asked her, "How do you think these bands get their music? haha, maybe because Queen made original music and their own image, and Good Charlotte are capitalizing on the image of a dead scene to 10-13 year skaters and girls who think they are hot...While Britney Spears adopts whatever image would make her and her record label more money, thiank about it...innocent girl->bad girl->slutty girl (or something like that)
Queen was diverse enough to not follow a trend, they actaully grew musically, and didn't intentionally change for anyone...

my friends are all musicians so they all think queen is very cool because they ahve good taste even if they aren't fans.
