For the record, I do think the AOBTD thing was probably intentional. It's very clear to me and too strange to be a coincidence. The song uses backward piano strikes so there was probably some reverse listening going on.
Let's say it's an accident to begin with. They're playing a section backwards and someone says "ha ha, it almost sounds like.." so just for fun, Freddie records some more takes to see if there's a way to say it so that it sounds clearer, and they decide to do it that way just to be naughty and see if anyone picks up on it.

AOBTD is obviously backwards and unintentional, but I'm not sure about Stairway. Really quite clear, as is the Yoko Ono one, and really weird.
And as for The Beatles one, that is clear and it sounds like John just speaking into it. As for all the 'Paul is dead clues' I think their ridiculous. One back up to this view is...
'Sgt Pepper was released after Paul's 'death' and on the album cover it says Beatles in red, and red is the colour of blood, Paul's blood?'
I mean how ridiculous is that? So he died and they just got an exact look alike, sound alike, songwriter alike, personality alike and no one else found out. Right that's it, I'm gonna find the site I read that on, post the link, and let you guys see it for yourselves. Still it is interesting to read how daft some people are. It really proves no matter how stupid something is, some one in the world will believe it.
