Are your teams playing now? Are you confident about their performances...? I'm not- but trying to be positive; last game- two weeks ago- we lost 1:5 to Denmark... Ehm... But we won with Greece in June so... anything can happen!!!!

tonight the Dutch play the always tricky Lichtenstein....as a friendly matchTough one... But I have to say I was pretty shocked (and glad) to hear that Marco Van Basten came back to football!!! He apparently even have the attractive football written in the contract as a goal!!!

The English will tomorrow be kicking Austrian ass.

Of course! With starplayers like Romano Denneboom and Khalid Bhoulharouz it could easily end up in a 10-0 victory for us.
After a terrible EC qualifiying series Northern Ireland are now unbeaten in six games. Our main striker, David Healy just broke the NI goal scoring record. And we have a new no-nonsense manager. We will make an impact in this qualifying group. Realistically, England will win it and the other teams are fighting for 2nd place. I predict a 2-1 win for Northern Ireland. Stand up for the Ulstermen!
Northern Ireland have shown in previous competition they will fight and fight hard, but i'm afraid they are well out of depth in this league, bye, bye.
we all know Holland will be out :P
see you in Germany
Mexico for champion!
*cough* Brazil will win again *cough*

With a population of only 1.5 million we're always out of our depth. But that didn't stop us qualifying for three world cups :) Don't forget, we're also the reigning British Champions lol. Pity the Jocks (the new San Marino) aren't in Group Six also as this would have made it an unofficial British Championship tournament, as well as an easy 6 points. Fair play to the English: they always bring a big crowd of good natured supporters over to Windsor, even if most of them are squaddies from Palace Barracks. Makes for a good atmosphere. However, the most eagerly anticipated game for our supporters is Wales in Cardiff next Wednesday, not the Poland or England games. Still trying to figure out why though...

Check these recent football (soccer) facts...
- Greece became the European champion when everybody expected them to be out in the first round.
- Once Caldas, a Colombian team with almost no history in international competitions, took home the Copa Libertadores (Latin American Club Championship).
- Porto from Portugal became the European Champions League Champion, leaving behind teams like Real Madrid, Man U, AC Milan, and Arsenal whose players are worth 10 times more than the players from Porto. (And I mean worth in money... not skill)
- Irak nearly took a bronze medal at the Olympics, after many years of torture by Saddam Hussein's son.
Football is becoming more an more unpredictable sport every year, and smaller teams are giving those traditional teams a hard team. The game is more competitive, and that's a great thing.
I'd love to see a champion in Germany that has never been a champion before.

The U.S. Team is too overated. FIFA always tries to put them on the Top 10 ranking, regardless of what they've achieved. I see it only as a FIFA startegy to boost the popularity of football in the U.S.
Just look at Freddie Adu already being considered the next Pele or Maradona.
The kid is good, but NOT THAT GOOD!
