My Best Mate

I was due to see Rush at Wembley last night but couldn't go because I developed an infection in my leg that prevented me from walking or sitting properly. As you can imagine I was less than chuffed at having to stay at my brother's home while my best mate, my brother & my nephew went to see them.

They couldn't get anyone else to go to use my ticket and, rather than sell a £35 ticket to a tout for £10 (who would then sell it for £100), they gave my ticket away - which is fair enough, I have done that before. They bought me back a t-shirt which didn't help my mood in anyway - especially as the infection broke an hour after they got home. I missed the gig of the year by 4 hours - I was in the mood to kill.

I was packing my stuff up, ready to drive home, when my best mate called - he managed to get tickets for us to see them tonight!!!!!

Geoff doesn't come here at all but I just wanted to say that although I don't have a wide circle of friends, the ones I have got are the best.

I'm sooooo happy for you, Bob... I know what missing the concert of your fav band means...

Bob, I think this goes to show how deservant you are of a great friend like Geoff. You are a pretty ok guy and pretty ok people usually attract the same.

They're genuine by the way. But if you get stopped on the door, they were bought in good faith and I don't give refunds.

Sir GH - you were not wrong, what a show!!!!! From the opening video sequences it was pure entertainment all the way - fan-fucking-tastic.

Lisser - 'pretty ok guy' is not high enough praise to earn a t shirt. Acceptable wording includes: handsome, adorable, wonderful, exceptional. I'll have to hang on the the 3 t shirts I got ;-)

I would highly reccomend this gig to anyone who has a chance to see it, even if I have a biased view. It's a hell of a show.

I'm surprised he's got time for all that now that he's managing Chester.

Just search for a website of any Rush bootleg trader, and soon you'll find a setlist from the tour. For all the shows I've seen, they all have had the same setlist.
