Ticket prices at concerts gone.

Just looking at some of the prices to go see Rod Stewart and Bryan Adams concert coming to Perth soon and I was wondering how much Queen ticket prices were when people from this board went? Did the price justify the cause?

I paid fl. 55 (approx $25) when I saw Brian in 1998. That's the closest I ever got to seeing Queen :(

I was fortunate enough to see Queen 14 times, and Brian 2 times. I don't remember paying more than $15 for a ticket, most times cheaper than that. Prices for concerts nowdays are getting out of hand. They wanted $55 to see Eric Clapton. Now, the guy's great, but come on. I don't want to drop a whole day's pay just to go to a show. By the time you're done paying for parking, the ticket, and a couple beers, you almost need to take out a loan!! Too many people have their hands in the till, and it's gotten too corporate for me.

Last time Clapton played in Philadelphia, Pa., the cheapest tickets were like $85!! And those were nose-bleed seats. Ticket prices have gotten out of hand.

Yeah, when I brought my ticket for the Tribute, I was surprised it was only £25. If you totalled up how much it would cost to see all of those acts seperately, Im sure the price would go through the roof!

Atrocious. With the diamond tickets for the Eagles I would expect to be playing a fucking instrument on stage and be having sex with the groupies back stage. No doubt.

The Rammstein gig in Rotterdam (NL) or in Dortmund (D) is approx. €60,= (=approx. $60). Time has changed... I will go to either the R'dam or Dortmund show:-)
