Now it would have been great to see, but alas, all we'll ever get is Rog and Brian with a stand-in bass player and a line-up of second rate singers.

But if u had your chance to give the boys a setlist, what would u have on it? I'll start with a fully acoustic version of Innuendo....

Queen were supposed to do an Unplugged show on MTV or something here some years ago. But it never happened. I would love to see it. I'd like to see them start with Innuendo, that'd be interesting.
Check out my blog! http://thatguythatreallylikesqueen.blogspot.com/
That would have been great to see!
Robin
I'd love to see that...

Like you mentioned, Innuendo would work, but I think Headlong and I Can't Live With You could sound great, if given the acoustic Tie Your Mother Down/Hammer To Fall treatment.
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.
Queen was scheduled to appear on Story Tellers, but for some obscure reasons, it didn't happened.

Wasn't that scheduled for September 11, 2001?
I'd like to hear "Who Needs You," in an unplugged special.
i think the obvious choice would be "Calling All Girls"
Yes, it was around the week of Sept 11th that it was to be recorded. And of course they cancelled when that day happened.

Peace,
Adam.

That's what I thought, though I was under the impression that it was for entirely different purposes. Although it was supposed to filmed in New York City.
It was postponed because a number of singers that had approached were unavailable at the time they needed. I think the plan was to do several seperate tapings to avoid schedules clashes, and I think the Foo Fighters were going to be involved also. It was going to be based on their earlier material.

I think that would be an excellent choice - and on a related note, wouldn't "My Melancholy Blues" have been brilliant. Freddie on the piano, John on bass and an audience of fifty people. I can almost see it.....

Yeah, Freddies dead and Johns retired.....I can almost see it!!

Nah, joking...... nice idea

Welcome to QZ.
Chom own mudder fukker.
I thought the Storytellers gig (whatever it is) was postponed/cancelled because Foo Fighters were on drugs or something.

Anyway, Queen were so good because of all the harmonies and guitar layers. An unplugged concert would never be half as good as a "real" rock concert.

I'm think you're right Fox Mulder, .... euh mr. Scully. But the acoustic sessions (Love of My life, Is This The World We Created for example) during the concerts where also great.
I got to try al little more, because I'm an asshole but I'm learning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfTLkUcQ7QY
