Was Freddie the 'Postman' or the 'Letterbox'?????

I dont think Freddie would have been too bothered about a bit of gay banter, I mean he did use it himself quite a bit.
One of the crudest comments which Freddie said ,was in the NME when they were in Budapest. They were all in a restaurant when a woman joined their table and sat next to Freddie.
He greeted her with " and how big is your c**t dear, can you get it over your head" to which she made some rather rude gesticulations concerning his teeth. Then there was Roger cracking jokes about the Space Shuttle Disaster.
So I guess Im trying to say that they arent Saints, and should'nt be treated as such. I realise we all draw the line somewhere but I dont think this topic is too bad, just a bit of naughty humour. Now how much s***k did he swallow, is perhaps going that step too far imo.

she was annoying them and basically gettin in the way, so freddie asked her to shut up by using the phrase above. to be honest, i hate that story- because it proves freddie wasnt v polite. i dont think there is ever an instance when that word should be used in front of a lady

Being gay is just as normal as being straight. And Freddie, though long since deceased, is still entitled to a private life. Jim Hutton has no right to display their sex acts, no matter how curious anyone is about it.

Freddie wanted to play football in the US, but they were looking for a tight end, and he was a wide receiver!

This topic is awful, but too funny not to respond to. In "Mercury And Me", Jim does clue us in as to whether Freddie was the letterbox or the postman - he was both. He refers to this as Freddie being sometimes "passive" and "active". Same as saying "submissive" and "dominate" or "sometimes a bottom, sometimes a top." Versatile, is what Jim was saying - he just wasn't using blatant terms.

Let's face it people, if Freddie hadn't been gay, do you really think he would have been as great of an entertainer. I mean, his homosexual flamboyancy was part of his charm and appeal. I just can't imagine a "straight" man singing "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy" as well as he did.

As far as being revealing, I don't think anyone should know about the handcuffs and leather swings and the beads up.....wait....that was last night! oops =P

I don't know if a straight man wasn't able to sing GOFLB just as good as him, but I'm sure no one could ever sing it the way he did... come on, I don't think any other gay man could sing it. Freddie is just unique. But then again, his stage persona - which was great - was very much influenced by his homosexuality, I guess, and he was indeed charming!
