For me the worst action was the release of the WWRY single in collaboration with "The Sun". To make Queen fans buy this dirty Rupert Murdoch tabloid to get the single in promotion of the musical was really shameful.LOL- you're right!!!!

Yes I have to totally agree. Ringo And Paul wouldnt call themselves The Beatles!
And the RNR HOF thing, I wasnt as bothered about that, than not going to the palace to play for The Queen of England, now that pissed me off!

perhaps the reason why there's been no "new" songs using archive pieces since the 'Rocks Re-Take' of 'I Can't Live With You' is because Brian and Roger are having trouble dragging John into a studio, and they've decided to treat Deaky like the Brian Wilson of the group...he doesn't have to tour or make public appearances, just go into the studio. meanwhile, as John is sitting at home, insisting he's retired, drinking tea, looking at his mounted bass above the mantle, Brian and Roger have all these ideas for Queen albums, waiting for John to just come into the studio to play bass, and flatly refusing to do any Queen studio work without John.
....And Brian's kept himself occupied with the musical while they wait for John to change his mind?

But when Ringo, Paul, and George did overdubs on two of John Lennon's solo songs (which he recorded long after Paul had announced the end of the Beatles), they called themselves The Beatles still. and in a way, Ringo and Paul are now passing themselves off as the Beatles -- look at the liner notes for 'Let It Be...Naked'. only quotes from Ringo and Paul are used, with nothing representing John or George (old quotes regarding those sessions would have been nice, or even just quotes from Yoko and....whatever George's wife's name was. all i can think of is Patti at the moment). so, really, the Beatles/Queen comparison is at once more accurate than it's ever been before, and not at all fitting: both show two members trying to act as a group, with at least one member trying to celebrate the music and the history. but then you also have the slight rewriting of history (both Paul and Brian have been accused of changing song credits).

Maybe it's because I'm a young Queen fan and never been able to see Queen live, but I love it when I see Brian and Roger do something together. My dream is to see them togheter on tour for just one more time. I love the 46664 and the Amsterdam gig. I know I'm not making friends here by saying this, but I don't care.
