As long as U2 doesn't make techno or electronica they will most likely make a good song.

'Vertigo' is a great song... very punk edge. Seems like U2 is paying homage to two of their biggest influences 'The Clash' and 'The Ramones'. Besides, U2 started as a punk band but eventually leaned more towards the alternative / new wave mainstream of the early 80s.

I like the way it's mixed. Check it out thru pro-logic.. things really move around and the vocal really centers itself at times... kinda suits the 'vertigo' theme I guess. :)
