Ironically, that's my favorite album of theirs.
I'm more a 'Who's Next' guy. I haven't listened to Quadrophenia in a lonnnnnnnnng time. Might be an omen.
Face Dances never got the respect it deserved. Aside from 'You Better You Bet' which is fab, there's 'Another tricky Day' and another one really good which I forget.. I also like 'Eminence Front' from that other album.. 'It's Hard' I think.
Yep, I liked the 80s Who. So shoot me. I do like some of the classics too.. particularly 'The Seeker' which was used so effectively in 'American Beauty', that film with the character 'Lester Burnham'... which brings us back on topic.

By Numbers is my second favorite. Not a song on there I won't listen to.
It's Hard ranks way up there, too...probably in my Top Ten. However, Face Dances is a good album, but I feel It's Hard is much stronger, especially with 'Eminence Front', 'I've Known No War', and 'Cry If You Want'.

I'm wanting to get the movie Tommy but can't friggin' find it. I stabbed someone to find it but to no avail.
