Hi,
I was probably a bit late in starting my download of this Copenhagen concert, cause I'm stuck at 37.9% and there's no seed or peer available anymore.
Can someone help me out please?
cheers,
Frakn

Are you sure ? I looked now and there are 8 peers online with 1,9 distributed copies. It could go.
But now it's time to be gone - forever...

How can you see 8 peers? I can only see two peers with average of 37.9% completed.

Do you have in bittorrent any error message (Problem connecting to tracker or something similar)?

If so, then that's it. It's pain sometimes to connect to tracker. The only one remedy for this is to let bittorrent open and wait. Sometimes it tooks longer time (it could also be a few hours), sometimes it goes on after 10 minutes. But from my experiences it always starts.

I couldn't find any other reason (expecting you successfuly downloaded before and you haven't any problem with comp, proxy or firewall).

Cheers.

Thanks for your input. It's an understatement to say I have downloaded before with Bittorrent. It's a great way to get live concerts (I try not to download any officially released material), often via bt.easytree.org (where I found a great Queen concert from 1974, which is still available).
Anyway, BTclient doesn't show any error messages on the Copenhagen concert, and I'm still connected to two peers. Luckily I don't pay my provider per minute anymore, so I'll just keep it open as long as needed....

Cheers

Frakn, which BT client do you have? I use Bittornado and it seems it's very good. Maybe you'd try (if you haven't it yet).

Now I connected to Copenghagen BT and there's 7 peers with almost 1 distributed copy. The fact is, that it takes a little time for me before peers appearing. At the start there were two only. But in 5 minutes there are 7 peers there. So - I don't know, where your problem lies. Sorry.

I also use BitTornado. Currently looking at two peers and one seed. Almost up to 61% now, so, with some luck, it should finish nicely tomorrow.
Thanks again.

OK, it seems things get better for you. :-)

Ooooooh god I'm a dumbass.. well I'm gonna finish the download FIRST and THEN play the file. Ahhh... well I thought it finished but it turned out my dad turned the pc off before it finished. Damn senile old fart...

Well thank you for your help everyone.
And sorry.
Long live The Queen

Hey, I went to decode the FLAC files into wav files so I could burn a CD, and several them wuoldn't decode. What's up? Has anyone else had this problem?

Did you wait, until the WHOLE bittorent downloaded (ie. download successfuly message)? If not, you can seek problem there.

If you mean me, yes, I was getting ready to burn the show onto CD, and there were a few songs missing! Also, I find the songs that did decode, I can't play in winamp. Something to do with the files not being compatible and having to adjust the input and out plugins or something like that.

OK, I've just finished downloading this show a second time, in hopes that maybe the second I wouldn't have the same problems. One of the songs I was having trouble decoding was I'm In Love With My Car, and again, it still won't decode. It says "An error has occurred opening the input file; it is likely the file does not exist or is not readable".

IS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCING THESE PROBLEMS?!?!?! SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!

Well, as YV wrote in thread you'd opened, you could have problem with apostrophes in name of the song. Try to rename it without using apostrophes. I remember I heard here that it could make some problem. On the other side, on my system (WinXP) I never noticed not a minor trouble with it. So... ?

BTW, I tried to convert IILWMC from Copenhagen gig without problem just now. Just to be sure.

You could also try another decoder. That worked for me once when a song would not decode.
