More powerful than any bomb!

check out these lyrics to American Idiot:

Don't wanna be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation under the new media.
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mindfuck America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alienation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

Well maybe I'm the faggot America.
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.
Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along in the age of paranoia.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alienation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

Don't wanna be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information age of hysteria.
It's calling out to idiot America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alienation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

I don't really like Green Day. It was the really big thing to like back in grammar school, but for some reason I never really fell into it. Mind you, at this time I generally held the same opinions of popular culture as everybody else did.
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.

God bless them and this song. It was kind of weird this morning because when I woke up, that song was in my head.
"I feel that when I'm old, I'll look at you & know the world was beautiful..."

Many say this is Green Day's best album yet... yes, perhaps even better than Dookie.

They're lying.

I just went to ITunes to hear some audio samples of this album and it's superb.

If you're a fan of rock operas and punk, this is a must buy.

I saw them do this on Letterman and wondered what the bleeped bits were. Thanks for the lyrics :)

I got 'American Idiot' and it's absolutely their best album yet. It's destined to become a classic.

Check out 'Wake Me Up When September Ends', it's one of the best songs I've ever heard.
