The Mercury/Michael Jackson tapes

Okay, since discovering the all Queen radio stations on the web, does anyone else find the Mercury/Jackson tracks as disturbing as I? I admit I haven't heard any of them before, and now, I can't believe Freddie lowered his standards to record "State of Shock."

not really. you're exaggerating, are you? it wasn't as sacreligious as 5ive and May/Taylor, and it was a collaboration between 2 of the industry's greatest. just forget about the jackson now, i hope it'll be fine.

A collaboration between Freddie and Michael was about as inevitable as Queen and Bowie; Michael was insanely huge back then, and was bound to draw a huge gathering no matter what his name was put on.

All personal opinions of Mr. Jackson aside, of course...

jackson wasn't white back then. he just set his hair on fire, that's all. Also, Hot space was an influence.

still think the line he ad-libs in freddie's more to life than this

Yeah, and any song that John had written would've been magnificent with Michael's voice.
