Its a shame, I love Billy Connely. I have a video.....An Audience With Billy, and Roger is in the audience. Hes a great comedian, but this time he's gone just a little bit too far. Im not gonna hold it against him though. People DO want to know whats gonna happen to the guy!
Personally, I think he has been the funniest person in the UK for the last 30 odd years. People KNOW that the guy can be rude or offensive, so don't go to his shows.

If you know anything about Billy Connolly and the Daily Mirror and the (Daily Record in Scotland) you'll know that he absolutely hates them and no doubt they will be the same in return towards him. So bearing that in mind about what he has "reportedly said" I personally wouldnt read too much into it - remember when it comes to newspapers sensationalism sells especially when its maybe taken out of context as well. Remember what John Lennon said all those years ago about the Beatles being bigger than God? Sensational stuff - until you read the full explaination from John and then you see what he was really meaning.
As for Billy telling this heckler to "fuck off" - this is his standard reply to all hecklers no matter what the subject.
Also, and unfortunately, as I type this there are uncomfirmed reports on TV that Ken Bigley has been killed. If this is true then my thoughts and condolences go to his family.
