but when someone like Jeffrey is courteous and does not, or maybe does not, agree with your view, this does not equate to arse licking. people can say nice things without being an arse licker - don't you agree?

Not only are you a nice guy, you are accessible and helpful. You don't hang around with common fans (my favourite bit) and should the tax man ever declare you bankrupt, don't worry because as happened with Willie Nelson, we will dig deep in our pockets to bail you out. I wouldn't expect Greg to answer any questions relating to rare stuff, etc. I think maybe people are forgetting that he has to keep things to himself. He does work work for QP. And the things he sees/hears can't be revealed for varying reasons.
I don't take sides on these issues, but I think people are too quick to jump on Greg. Yes, some badly chosen fights. But there have been some very interesting things over the last 24hours to read on here for a long while.

Well, I didn't want to get into this. But I still find it hard to believe that this is THE Greg Brooks, the Queen archivist.
If it is him, I'm sorry to say that I find him very unprofessional. As a 'Queen-official' this is not the way and not the choise of words to talk to fans. Wether you agree with them or not. A professional would make himself known as for who he is and gives his comments on threats about unreleased tracks and such. If GB would have presented himself and used different language, he would have made sure we would all believe he IS THE Greg Brooks and we would all be very interested in talking to him. Now? Well... if I see what is being said about YV... what will he think of me when I say something...??

Ask yourself this... being able to come onto a board and speak his mind, compared with talking about his job which could get him in trouble? We can only speculate after that.

Ok why are are al the others on this zone not constructive ???????. I think this isn't fair against everyone. People who are quiet (like me) are not constructive. I've got my questions about that.

I realised very very soon into it that there are some very jealous people who resent me and what I have access to. A certain person known in Queen dealing circles tried to get me sacked before I even started, but Jim Jenkins came to my rescue and told the real story – putting this other idiot in a shameful light and exposing his jealousy for exactly that. He was humiliated, rightly so, and ever since has had bitter resentment for me. Still to this dy he gets into a temper and almost stamps his feet when he sees me. It is amusing to see, but a bit disturbing.
The point is, Jeffrey, I learned fast that there really genuinely are people out there SO JEALOUS and BITTER and RESENTFUL, they still try hard to upset me or drop me into deep water. Honestly, it does not bother me. I expect it. I come prepared for it, wherever I am.
I expect people to say things to my face, Jeffrey, not behind my back like a little coward would – hiding behind false identity. I can’t help but think of it as like the actions of a weasel or little mouse. I treat people as I expect to be treated myself. I say things to their face... From Greg Brooks, not some made up identity. I speak my mind and I believe I am good at my job, and some resentful twats think that is arrogant. What can you do when dealing with such small intelligence???? You just move on, after saying your bit.
Only when I upset the people I work closely with, and respect, and whom respect me, and cause concerns there, will I be worried. That never happens.
I am not concerned at all if I am unpopular with such a tiny percentage of jealous Queen fans. I have many hundreds of great friends, via Queen, and that suits me well. And then I get emails too from people like you, and I realise again that most people are fine with me, while a tiny few get the hump. That’s their hard luck. I do not get upset by them, only irritated, and they should be the same. They seem to take that little site so ENORMOUSLY seriously, but there is life, a whole entire world outside of that tiny, bad tempered zone.
Jeffrey, take a look at the sheer number of threads or inputs (whatever they’re called) some of those people have. THOUSANDS of them. Jesus, when do these people find time to write 2,754 notes?????

So before someone says 'haha, even your only supporter does those things', I'll say that I don't agree 100% with Greg about everything. I'm not just sitting back and agreeing with everything he says... I'm an individual with my own opinions but I still respect and understand where Greg is coming from.
This whole thing is really too much for a simple guy like myself. Occasionally I have a brief moment of coherent thought but for the most part, I've been quite (clinically) depressed lately and it's very difficult to organize my thoughts when I'm going through that. And yesterday was even worse because Judge Judy was pre-empted for fucking baseball.

I would also like to point out that some of the people (including myself) that have over 2000 posts have been here for years. I registered on this board in 2001 after the big crash, and before that I had been here since late 1997, as have many others. GB has already managed to post 10 times in the past two days. If he was around for 4 or more years, how many posts would he have?
