Anyone ever heard of this program? I am really gonna try and apply for it. It's a 18 page application but if chosen I'd get to go to either Germany, Japan, Brazil or Thailand for 6 weeks next summer. A friend of one of my best ones went and loved it. I also can put my top 3 choices of which country to go to. There's also a scholarship I'm trying for that would pay for everything involved like plane tickets and such. So what are your all's thoughts? I'm just curious.

I haven't heard of them, but I support any efforts to make youth more understandable.. especially on forums. Teach the bastards how to type properly I say!

It would really depend on what you were trying to understand.
I've heard of that thing before, one of my dad's friends was one, way back. If I had the chance to join YFU, why not. Either that or the Peace Corps, when I get my degree.
That's probably a very good chance to see another country and learn about another culture. Go for it if you can. And if you happen to come to Germany you know who to call!!
