LOL! But what exactly happened? The lyrics were pre-recorded. But when they stopped why didn't she start singing to save face? I'm confused (a common ailment for me :P) Regardless...having the band just continue jamming after she left was quite funny! Thanks, Pakito (and Mr. Jingles I guess too...but I know Pakito did all the REAL work. He just uses the human for PR :P)
That was SO laughable. Really nice how she blamed the mistake on her band. "Oops! they played the wrong song!" Excuse me, but don't the musicians discuss what song is going to be played during a live show?
Most professionals would have sung the other song anyway, so they themselves wouldn't look like a fool. I'm not sure what it was exactly, but I agree.. it's the funniest thing on SNL in years. :)
I think the most pathetic thing about Ashlee Simpson is how she's blamming the band.
If she was a TRUE artist, then she wouldn't have to lypsynch... therefore this incident would have never happened.

I wonder, when you're lipsynching, isn't it wise to keep the mic up close to your mouth? She wasn't even ready when the music was beginning!
