but I completely agree with Gabriel79...
been a Queen fan since 1977, looove everything about them, collect whatever I can, buy everything I see, but I stop buying since the "Made in Heaven"... that's it...
I think Brian and Roger should do new music, and stop doing "non-sense" and "pittyfull" appearances everywhere with the Queen flag. Please guys, I love you, but you should show more self-esteem... I can't stop love Queen, and that same love, makes me shamefull when I see you both on a recent interview talking about a WWRY play. Show more values... like John... I don't think I have ever seen John around at all, Im not even sure if I saw him at the Rock Hall of Fame induction ceremony... I know you both have the right to do whatever you want with Queen related matters, but you are affecting ME, as Queen lover, because it makes me want to hide my head everytime you are talking about the same or trying to sell the same... Don't get me wrong,

Thats really harsh of you.. i think it is brilliant that Brian and Roger are still holding queen together by doing WWRY (we will rock you) etc.. For teenagers like myself that has never met queen or seen them play live before in the flesh, i think it is lovely they do WWRY, and that they are still being a part of queen! so please, dont make a fuss on Queenzone where people engoy the work that Brian and Roger are actually doing!
I dearly, truly, love Brian and Roger and I believe that they should DEFINATELY NOT replace Freddie, besides, no one in the world is as good as him in my opinion.

wow, shitting on his grave, thats pretty harsh.
I'm just happy I'm still getting new releases froma band that is now considered defunct. Funny as it sounds Greatest Hits 3 saved me from completely turning to commercial alterna-rock back when I was like 13, I thought I had pretty much heard everything by Queen and then I started looking into the solo material after buying that album.
As for the musical? meh. I liked it, I'm not in love with it, but at least it poked fun at itself and didn't take itself too seriously. Also do u think Freddie would turn down a musical being made if he were still around and Queen were maybe taking a break for a bit? I think he would have loved the idea, its so his style.
As for the new christmas releases, whatever, if it can convert more people to Queen that thats cool, I agree it's stupid having GH releases taking up space on the shelves for the legitimate releases. I think the new version was just to promote the music if nothing else, probably a smart business move on hollywood's side, but yeah looks kinda silly on the shelves.

After seeing Brian and Roger play and having met them in Las Vegas this past September, I must say that I couldn't disagree with you more. Brian and Roger were and are 1/2 of Queen. I never had the chance to see Queen proper - Freddie, John, Roger and Brian. Last month, I came close. Seeing Roger and Brian take the stage underneath the Eiffel tower was one of the most (if not the most) amazing experiences of my life. These men are amazing musicians. Freddie was an amazing singer. John was an amazing bassist. Unfortunately, Freddie died and John retired, so it has been left up to Brian and Roger to carry the Queen flag. These are simply who musicians who continue to play as Queen, just like Roger Daltry and Peter Townsend continue to play as The Who. They are simply carrying on what could not be carried on otherwise. Don't hate Brian and Roger because they continue to market the Queen name. They have every right to. Look to them as your source for what Queen is now - don't look down on them because they're not what Queen was.
gabriel79, what are you doing on this Notice Board!!! Is it wise to shot Brian and Roger down on a board full of Queenfans??? Don't think so. You don't gather sympathy this way. And what Brian and Roger do, it's obviously not about money. They are already multi-millionaire, they don't need to work anymore. But they still love the music world so let them do what they like to do.
