Do you really live in Brazil?
Not anymore. I was born in Brazil and lived there till I was 9. Then I moved to Germany with my parents. My mum moved back to Brazil and all the rest of my family still lives there so I go there as often as possible. Which is normally once a year.
Where in Brazil do you live?
I am from Sao Paulo.
PS: Mas o meu portugues e muito mal, eu quase nao sei mais falar... e uma pena porque a minha tia e os meus primos sao brasileiros e nao falam alemao como o resto da familia... escrever e mais facil, mas eu entendo tudo! - just wanted to test myself...
:-)
Nice! I'm from Cruzeiro, it's a small town (about 75,000 inhabitants), it's in São Paulo. You probably never heard of. Your portuguese isn't bad at all (at least writing). Have you heard that Brazil, Portugal and another country (I forgot the name now) are going to sign a document to make their languages become the same? For this some accents won't exist anymore, like in the world "Vôo", it will be just "voo". It will make the language easier, finally! Portuguese is much difficult if compared with English.
BTW, is it true that the germany grammar is much like the portuguese?
nope, never heard of the town called cruzeiro.
and I havent heard of the accent thing either...that's interesting. I've always found it quite hard to understand the proper portuguese from portugal. It's probably like American, English, Irish, Scottish accent...
and no again, the german grammar isn't like the portuguese grammar at all. well, we distinguish between male, female, etc (so it's not like in english "the" for both genders). French is quite like portuguese and of course spanish, but you'll know this. But german... no, I don't think so. But then again...what do I know about portuguese grammar after not speaking, writing, learning portuguese for almost 14 years now?!
Dang straight! lol I love that I have converted Mayboy into being a ND fan...oh yes.
Alright..then I love HeM's honesty. ;-)
