Who ranks better? Queen or The Beatles?
I think in all honesty, I would have to say The Beatles because my family are from Liverpool and I have been a fan for donkey's years, all my family have. what everyone else think?

Queen was still better than The Beatles, IMHO.
At least all Queen members put a good amount of input into the band, and neither Roger or John can be considered Ringos.
In all fairness, neither Queen or any of today's bands would have been as great without The Beatles. It was their huge influence what has changed the curse of popular music for the past 40 years.

the beatles were only about for 8 years (releasing albums) - and in that time, i think you'll find the total amount of Ringo/George album compositions probably closely matches the total for John/Roger for queen's first 8 years
Ringo = 3, George = 17 Total = 20
John = 9, Roger = 10 Total = 19
Ringo = 3, George = 17 Total = 20
John = 9, Roger = 10 Total = 19

Queen by far as their songs are miles better than the Beatles, better lyrics and a better band e.g. better singer(s)

The Beatles had such a huge effect on popular culture that will never, ever be repeated. Queen may have bettered certain things, but they did not pioneer things the way The Beatles did.
Sure, Queen concerts were better. Sure, Queen lasted longer as a band. But The Beatles changed the world. Queen did not, not even close to the extent of The Beatles.
Queen will always be my favourite band, but I completely bow down to what The Beatles stood for and accomplished in less than a decade.
