Rio should be released on dvd in complete form.

I don't care that it was a "bad performance". It was a historically important show for Queen and the crowd was huge. There's enough reasons to release it.
Not those are losers who fall, but those who don't stand up.

Magna Carta from 1215 was historically important too, but I would not read that crap again...

Wasn't it their last performance of that tour? cause I think it is very bad to release the last concert of a tour. cause the artists are tired and not full anymore. pitty people do that like The Who's live with friends. nice but daltrey was very tired.
Ever since I was a young boy, I've played the silver ball. From SoHo down to Brighton, I must have played them all. That deaf, dumb and blind kid, sure plays a mean pinball

the last performance of the works tour was in osaka on 15/5/85

Knebworth? Many feel that was the best UK performance of the Magic Tour (if not the whole tour)

I love "Love of my life" from Rock in Rio,amazing.
And I have in VHS the whole concert and is way better then the only 60 minutes of the official release!
Freddie Mercury. A wonderful human being and simply the greatest singer, performer and composer of our times.

I agree that IS a great version of Love Of My Life. Some of the edits on the officially released video are weird though. For instance, they show Brian's unaccompanied solo, which ends with the rest of the band coming out and playing the last verse of Brighton Rock. Huh? Where's the first two verses? And I seem to remember a couple other really weird edits on there as well.

I don't see why they didn't release the entire concert. They could have fit the whole thing on one VHS tape.

"I don't see why they didn't release the entire concert. They could have fit the whole thing on one VHS tape."

For those that don't remember why this is - it's because the board that governs these kind of releases did not allow it. And that is, it could be released, but it wouldn't be able to chart for instance.

I can't remember the exact reason, so I may be slightly off. But there was definitely some penalty for longer than 60minute videos. Remember that Wembley on VHS was originally a 60min video as well. Thank god for the present days when it doesn't matter how long they are.

Peace,
Adam.
