I think that John is very underrated as a composer in queen. He is truly magnificant.
Here is my top 3

1. You and I
2. Need your lovin tonight
3. Spread your wings.

Totally agree with "You and I" - wonderful track !
I also always liked PISCTP, even though that particular Song seems to be quite unpopular amongst Queen-Fans...
My No. 3 would be Spread your wings as well.

So even though Another One Bites The Dust was Queen's biggest ever hit, that cant get in this top 3?? Or is it personal prefference?

I do like You and I though.

Another One Bites The Dust is one of my top John compositions. It's not as deep or intense as some of his other songs, but it's just so catchy. Then there's You're My Best Friend, Spread Your Wings, You And I, Who Needs You, etc. Like Brian said, John didn't write many songs, but they definitely counted!

Another One bites the dust is good, but I don't think that it is on my top 3. Maybe it is because it isn't so changing in the harmony. It is a pity that they never played "You and I" live.

I`ve always felt that when I know John wrote a song, that`s a kind of quality stamp. I like all the songs he wrote except for the ones he did with Freddie
