If so, was it the same one he used in Staying Power?

Thanks
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.
If I can still trust my eyes, I think he was playing a black Tele in SP...
Correct me if I'm wrong...
Yes, but I meant besides that (e.g. Back Chat, Action). Thanks

Brian said something about this on his site earlier! You should check it out! :D
"Elton John and I became really good friends. I don't mean 'good friends' in that sense. I just mean we slept together." -Billy Joel
Accoring to Brian's site - JOhn plays guitar in Staying Power and Back Chat

To me looking at the DVD it appears to be a black Tele

Maybe the one Brian uses in the solo to CLTCL

MAYBE ????
back off with your Megaton
No, it`s not the same one, the one from John has maple neck, Brian`s has black neck. In Magic Years you can see both (see some photos in my web). Thanks a lot about the info about Back Chat

Yes, a Telecaster with matching headstock for Staying Power (seems to be a custom version), but a Musicman Stingray (bass) for Back Chat at the MK.

Special thanks to Arif Mardin who arranged and produced some hot and spacey horns on "Staying Power" ;-)
Ah, so he didn`t play guitar in `Back Chat` (only in the studio version I guess). I suspected that since the audio version I have from that song live does have bass (and not synth bass). Unless John switches to rhythm guitar for the ending of the song (the extended solo of Brian).

What about Action? Did he play guitar or bass in that one?

John played bass guitar in "Action". I have your screen shots ready next time you are on ICQ, Sebastian.
I do not want any google ads here.
You should ask Sebastian, he knows this stuff.
