Wow! Is it true? My dad told me yesterday he read in a newspaper that Elton John is gonna get married... Is it just a rumour or is it for real? He used to say that he would't marry, at least not in the next few years.
So is he marrying his longtime partner David or someone else (my dad didn't recall his lover's name)?

I did some research. He'll be marrying his boyfriend David, as soon as the law in favour of gay marriage is voted in the UK. I read he could get married with David in Canada (it seems the guy is Canadian), but they want to do it in the UK. So he isn't getting married to a woman, but to a guy. He was married to Renate Blauel in the 80s, but he wasn't able to live with a woman for so long (it seems he assumed he was bi by then). But he is in fact gay and his sexuality did him justice, he is with David for 11 years! Now that's a love story...
