My Quaker parrot has lost all his tail feathers (at least all the long ones).

Is it normal for a parrot to lose all of his tail feathers?
I'm still wondering if it's because they just fell due to the fact that they lose their feathers at a certain season so they can leter grow new ones... or because he's been plucking them himself.

So far it seems like he hasn't plucked any feathers anywhere else.

Hi...wow, did the the quills of the feathers that he lost look chewed up in any way, or broken off? Those are signs of plucking, or that perhaps he broke them off during a fall, etc. If they just gradually disappeared, then the cause is most likely a molt. Tail feathers take awhile to come in, but you should see some small feathers start to come back within a couple of weeks.
