This is just a way for me to express my curiousity about who else you guys listen to and who else you are really into, so, Im asking for you to name 2 lists of top 5's! (just a way to get to know you all better, being new and all).
1.Bands /artists that you listen to besides Queen and any of its related members works, at present.
2.Your all-time fave bands/artists with no Queen connection (other than really obscure ones such as engineers etc.).

I guess I should go first, please dont hurt me :) ....

1.Sparks
2.Mike Oldfield (altho been a fan for a loooooong time!)
3.Gabriel-era Genesis (again, been a fan for a loooooong time!)
4.Ladytron (cant wait for the new album!)
5.New Order

thats the list that I listen to the most at present.

And now the all-time, mine would be (and you may spot a few repeaters here)...

1.Sparks (really my all-time heroes, even above Queen, sorry folks)
2.Pink Floyd
3.Depeche Mode
4.New Order / Joy Division
5.Pet Shop Boys (yes you read that right!)

So come on everyone, who floats your boat outside Queen-world?
K
The Who
Meatloaf
Styx
Billy Joel
Monkees

Elton John is great, too!

The order is a little messed up but The Who is definately first in that list for sure.

I don't understand the difference between the two lists, so I will just list some of my favorite non-Queen artists (in no particular order):

Led Zeppelin
The Pillows
Van Halen
Racer X
Yngwie Malmsteen
The Who
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.
G
Not really in any specific order.

1. Guns N' Roses
2. Pink Floyd
3. The Beatles
4. Cake
5. Cream
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.
M
1. Accept
2. Lita Ford
3. Pat Benatar
4. Styx
5. Judas Priest

but those could change any moment...
My Brothers and Sisters all hated me 'cause I was an only child... -Weird Al (Generic Blues) I gave up on books when 'To Kill A Mockingbird' gave me no useful advice on how to kill a mockingbird.
L
The Who
Elvis Costello
The Faces
The Rolling Stones
The Beatles

And that's in order.

It was really just to illustrate that the bands/artists that Ive been listening to over the last few months the most arent necessarily my favourites but Ive been listening to more of them recently than certain favourite bands/artists of mine. For example Mike Oldfiled would probably make 6th or 7th in my all-time favourites list but I have been listening to him a lot more in the last few months than bands/artists that I hold in a higher personal regard to him, with the exception of ''Ommadawn'', an album that everyone should chew their own feet off to hear!.

1. No Doubt
2. the Beatles
3. Del Amitri
4. Elton John
5. Matchbox Twenty

This is my list, also no specific order (without Queen, of course):

1. Genesis (70’s stuff)
2. Rush
3. Deep Purple
4. Uriah Heep
5. Yes
6. Dream Theater

There are more of them, but these are the most listened.
But now it's time to be gone - forever...

There's no way I can choose.

4. Sum 41
5. Alkaline Trio
U
1. David Bowie

4. ...
5 ...Oh my gosh! I don't listen to that many people! Okay, um...no one else, I guess.
But...I have an Anthony Stewart Head cd, "Music For Elevators", and a cd by Ghost Of The Robot. You probably haven't heard of them before... And...um...I really, really, REALLY like the song "Michael" by Franz Ferdinand. ^_^
