was freddie ill during filming of "a kind of magic" ?

i just finished watching for the first time a kind of magic, and under freddie's right eye (his right) it looks like there is a bruise, and he is very pale due to the makeup, is it just a camera trick that he looks pale and has the bruise, or was it just camera tricks?

It was eye shadow. The paleness was make-up. It was cold when they shot the video.
