No Internet at home

To anyone who cares, I have no internet at home right now. My laptop has hit some hard times recently. Those of you who love me, can email me at work.

I know how you feel. Due to difficulties with my arsehole of a housemate I spend half my time in the computer room at Uni these days due to not having any net access to speak of at home...

Goodness, what a pathetic 21st century computerphile I am.

I can still post on here from work..shhhhh don't tell my boss though.

Paul: please enable java in your browser or install mirc. It really does not take away from your performance and you boss won't mind. We all miss you a lot :(

I wish I could figure out how to enable java here at work so i could chat. it won't work. I can't dl mirc either. its says access denied.

I am hoping I'll get the laptop fixed tomorrow by our computer techs here at work.

You don't need to download Java, it's in your browser, just enable it. If you have IE, it's under "internet options" --> advanced. Just enable all functions concerning java (Java Jit compiler, java console, java protocol) and restart the browser.

it is enabled but all i get is a grey box when i try to get in chat. it also askes me for some proxy password thing. I'm sure my work has blocked it somehow.

anymore ideas?
