I was watching a special on NBC (US television) on Tom Brokaw (anchorman) tonight and the subject of AIDS came up, as did the year 1991. I thought, oh great, they're going to show the broadcast where Freddie told the world he had it because I remember that and the day after when Brokaw reported he passed away...and instead, it shows the news of Magic Johnson telling the world HE had AIDS...a mere two and a half weeks before Freddie's announcement!
And Magic Johnson is still alive thirteen years later. Miracles happen -- I wish it had for Freddie's sake.

That sucks, though they DID have this huge thing on AIDS on VH1 a while back and they had a HUGE segment about freddie. It was beautiful. So fred hasn't been forgotten or anything

Well...that's network television for you! Cable and satellite shows are much better.
