I went to see Rainbow around 1980, their support band that day were a Aussie band called Rose Tattoo, they were so loud we had to move from the front of the hall with our fingers in our ears, anybody seen this band?, or seen one that were too loud?

I went to see White Zombie a few years back, I remember that I couldnt hear for about a week after. Metallica were loud too.
Rose Tattoo are great!
I have seen many concerts.. and there were a few that left my ears ringing, but none had ever caused me to nearly pass out from overload such as AC/DC in 2000... WOW.. it really wasnt their music as much as the clapping during Shoot to Thrill... WOW.. But that isnt saying that they werent loud.. OH they were.. Of course, I am one of the silly people that REFUSE to purchase ear protection... lol
Van Halen!!!
The Who.
Weird...I was just listening to Stargazer while reading your post, anyway's Rose tatto are indeed a good band.

Mr Coolest - i saw rainbow on that tour - stafford bingley hall (glorified cowshed), and RT blew ritchie's posers off stage
I saw Ted Nugent in '81. Loudest thing I ever heard...and we were outside!!! Unbelievable!
Not only is Ted Nugent the loudest, but the noisiest as well.
The Who.
This is technically true, as I believe their 1976 concert from Swansea or Charlton (can't remember which) holds the record for being the loudest at 120db's.
And with John Entwistle and Keith Moon in the band, I don't find it hard to believe at all.
Keith Moon alone could rip 120db. heh, Pete Townshend gave him a serve yesterday (I was watching Tommy, very good!) and said 'I can say what I want about him! He's dead!'
Bit morbid but funny none the less.
Sad, sad, sad. Who HASN'T driven a Mercedes into a pool?
Well..Keith Moon but wouldn't it be funny?
