When DJ met Fatty....

Between 12:30pm and 2:00pm last Saturday I had the pleasure of having a couple of pints with our very own Fatty, in his home town of Edinburgh. I was lucky enough that the first person in the bar that I took the chance to ask was indeed Fatty, otherwise things could have turned ugly.

We talked about numerous things; Queenzoner's past and present, what a twat Brian May is, and Fatty's new showbiz lifestyle, meeting such celebrities and the Chewin the Fat guys, and Jamsie Cotter.

Other points to note:

- I am apparantly taller than Fatty had imagined.

- Fatty needs to catch up with the times and get a mobile phone.

- When someone in Scotland says 'yer tea's oot', they are not inviting you to dinner, but are in fact thereatening to knock seven shades of shite out of you...

Needless to say Fatty is as funny in real life as on the board, and I could have sat talking to him all day. Thanks for meeting me Fatty; you can now be very proud to be the only Queenzoner who would know me if I passed them in the street!

Edinburgh is a fantastic city, and I dare say I'll be back there before too long.

Oh, and Mark King was brilliant....

Sounds good!

We really should have a re-union (well, first ever get-together!) of all the old 2001-ish era Queenzone people sometime...

Funny enough, myself and fatty were discussing such a meeting, as he will be spending some time in England next year. Your name was one of the few to come up on the guest list!

Well that topic died rather quickly!

As long as the meeting doesn't clash with the return of a certain television programme, I'm sure I could make the effort to attend! ;-)
